The Bronx

The BronxThe Bronx is the northernmost of the five boroughs of New York City, and the only one that is actually part of the mainland. Originally part of Westchester County, the Bronx became part of New York City in 1895, and its suburban streets and farms were transformed to urban neighborhoods. This authentic collection of late 19th Century and early 20th Century images captures the Bronx in it’s formative years, and includes many of the city’s most enduring attractions such as the Bronx Zoo and Yankee stadium.
