World Trade CenterThe H.A. Dunne Archive includes a unique collection of black and white and color images of the World Trade Center under construction from 1968 through 1973. These photos, nearly 3,000 of them, were taken by aerial photographer and wireless technology pioneer Mal Gurian from groundbreaking through the completion of the towers. The Twin Towers were icons of New York City from the ribbon cutting ceremony on April 4, 1973 until their destruction at the hands of terrorists on September 11, 2001.
